Moisture control bagpipe practice chanter top.  This engineered and tested chanter top is designed to cause and capture condensation before it makes it to the reed.  The 2 stage capture system uses an air-flow routing design that can only be manufactured by 3D printing.

The body of the chanter top is made from PETG with a replaceable vinyl tube mouthpiece for more comfortable playing.

Standard unwaxed hemp is used in the joint between the blowpipe and reed chamber to further enhance the ability to capture moisture.

(For different color combinations, the blowpipe and reed chamber can be ordered separately and mixed and matched.)

Review of the TrapTop

The TrapTop is an excellent product. I have been playing it for several months now. Usually when I am teaching all day at a piping school my practice chanter is just drenched. With the TrapTop the reed is pretty much bone dry all day long - it definitely works. My 8-year-old grand son has one also and he likes the cool colours.
